The KCR Half Marathon Training Program will prepare you for your race
KCR Half Marathon Training is back for the 2019 SPRING Session! Starting January 19, 2019! Coach Carmen will lead us for yet another wonderful session! This session only includes a training schedule and plan for half marathon training. If you need or wish to run the route twice for marathon training, that is completely up to you and it is suggested you plan accordingly for your own water/aid stations on your longer runs.
We will meet at Aixois (55th and Brookside Blvd.) at 7:00 am where there is currently a weekly group run at 7:00 am. The session officially will end June 1, 2019. Aixois provides water before and after the runs, and they offer a discount for a KCR breakfast afterwards.
When the sessions begin, they will be fully supported and target the Rock the Parkway and Hospital Hill half marathon races.
- Weekly training plan. Mileage will increase slowly.
