CCVI Trolley Run
April 28 @ 7:45 am - 11:00 am$45.00
Now in its 30th year, the idea for this fundraiser was presented to the Friends of CCVI by the former Michael Forbes Restaurants, Inc., which owned two restaurants, four miles apart in the heart of Kansas City and The Plaza shopping area. The four-mile course follows the old streetcar/trolley tracks and hence, the name, Trolley Run. Trolley Run is the largest annual fundraiser for CCVI and provides a critical funding in the CCVI programming budget. Trolley Run has succeeded through the generous support of our individual and corporate sponsors, including longtime title sponsor Sabates Eye Centers and many others.
Trolley Run is one of the largest timed four-mile road races in the country. The fast and flat to downhill course is a quintessential Kansas City experience and a beloved tradition. The four-mile Trolley Run course winds through the Waldo and Brookside neighborhoods on the Harry Wiggins Trolley Track Trail and ends on the historic Country Club Plaza. Proceeds from the race benefit the visually impaired children at the Children’s Center for the Visually Impaired (CCVI).
