15th Annual Psycho Wyco Run Toto Run – 50K | 20mi | 10mi

10-Miles: one 10.4-mile loop.
20-Miles: two 10.4-mile loops.
The 50K course consists of three 10.4 mile loops of technical single track and Bridle Trail. Each loop has 1300 feet of elevation gain, with three of the biggest Hills coming in the last 2 miles. Sometimes the course is muddy; sometimes it is frozen solid; but usually it is dry, firm and fast.

This race is very popular and has a party atmosphere, replete with a DJ! 50K finishers receive an awesome spinning-tornado medal, an oval distance sticker, and a “Psycho Wyco 50K Finisher” Ouray trucker cap. Swag for the race includes a very nice zip hoodie, a Buff, and a logo beer glass. Keeping with the party atmosphere, we always have three or four different craft beers on tap (and/or the race director’s own homebrew on tap), regular and vegan chili, and incredible pre-paid-for and downloadable race photos by Mile 90 Photography. There are also nice cash premiums for first through third place (overall).

Beer & Bagel 4(ish)mi – Arkansas

The Beer & Bagel Off-Road Race Series – 25 YEARS and running!  It all started in the Heartland of America, where every year, thousands of runners, beer drinkers, and bagel enthusiasts gather to enjoy a 4-mile (ish) off-road run, free beer, bagels and home cookin’ just like mom used to make.  Today, the Beer & Bagel empire has spread to multiple states, and while we now keep Sasquatch on pay roll, one thing hasn’t changed: We’re still the same home-grown race from Nebraska with those legendary race shirts.

Beer & Bagel Off Road Run is 4 miles of off road running over challenging terrain.  Forget the crazy antics, insane price tags, colored powders, glow sticks, smelly mud, or man-made obstacles. At Beer & Bagel we let Mother Nature do the work: Rugged and untamed trails, the way running was meant to be. You might get wet, you might get muddy, but one thing is for sure: You’re going to have a blast!

After conquering Mother Nature at her best, you’ll be greeted with an ice cold beer, bagels and a warm bowl of chili, just like mom used to make. And leave your cash at home on race day. Everything is included. No paid parking, no paying for food at the finish, and we NEVER run out of water!

Clean Water 5K

Wichita Clean Water 5K is partnering with Nazarene Compassionate Ministries in Africa to bring life to villages through the construction of safe wells and clean water education. This year we are raising funds to build a borehole well in an African village. Many African villages try to survive by fetching water from irrigation dams. Since these dams are meant for irrigation, the water is contaminated with diesel from pipes and generators. The water in these dams are further contaminated by animals, who also use this water source. Additionally, villagers bathe, do laundry and clean utensils in this dirty water. Community members often suffer from diarrhea and other waterborne diseases. Many women and children walk over 2½ miles to collect this dirty water.

Your race entry will help bring a borehole well and water education to this village. You can make a life-changing difference to a community of people by registering for the Clean Water 5K and inviting your friends to join you. Together, we can install a safe well be a part of something much bigger than ourselves.

UPDATE FROM OUR 2018 RACE & FUNDRAISING EFFORTS: Chipanga village enjoying clean water thanks to Clean Water 5k.

Run 2 Believe 5K

As you participate in this very special memorial run, take a few minutes to remember the young couple who inspired the event.  Kylie Brooke Jobe (20) and Kyle Thornburg (22) were high school sweethearts at Maize High School. Both loved athletics. Both were committed to continuing their education.  Together, they became innocent victims of a drunk driver as they returned home from a ski trip over spring break. They were killed in a tragic accident on I-70 when a 27-year-old man entered the interstate going the wrong direction. He had a blood alcohol level of .23 — almost three times the legal limit.  Three lives were lost that night. This run is to honor Kylie and Kyle, but it is also to remind everyone to make responsible decisions in their lives. Please don’t drink and drive.

Kansas City Running Club’s Brew to Brew

Do you love running?  Do you love your friends?  Do you love beer?  If you answered yes to all three (or at least one out of three), then why not combine all of your loves for a fun race supporting a good cause?!

Brew to Brew is a 40-ish mile solo or relay race divided into ten legs of about 4 miles each. Brew to Brew benefits the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Ten dollars ($10) of every runner’s registration is donated directly to CFF, and you are always welcome to donate more.  In 2017 The Kansas City Running Club raised $40,000 for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.

CCVI Trolley Run

Now in its 30th year, the idea for this fundraiser was presented to the Friends of CCVI by the former Michael Forbes Restaurants, Inc., which owned two restaurants, four miles apart in the heart of Kansas City and The Plaza shopping area. The four-mile course follows the old streetcar/trolley tracks and hence, the name, Trolley Run. Trolley Run is the largest annual fundraiser for CCVI and provides a critical funding in the CCVI programming budget. Trolley Run has succeeded through the generous support of our individual and corporate sponsors, including longtime title sponsor Sabates Eye Centers and many others.

Trolley Run is one of the largest timed four-mile road races in the country. The fast and flat to downhill course is a quintessential Kansas City experience and a beloved tradition. The four-mile Trolley Run course winds through the Waldo and Brookside neighborhoods on the Harry Wiggins Trolley Track Trail and ends on the historic Country Club Plaza.
