Half Marathon Training Starting March 2nd
Are you wanting to run a half marathon this spring but aren’t sure of how you will do your runs or have a training schedule in place? Well the track club is here to help you out, we have RRCA coach lead program that will get your ready for your half marathon.
This program will you lead you to the newest half marathon in Kansas City that I promise you will want to do each year from here on out! The Scout Strong Challenge begins in finishes in the beautiful Sporting Park. The race will lead you all over the area including a fun lap around the Kansas Speedway, it is one half you will not forget! You dont have to do this race to take the class but we strongly recommend this one!
Now on to the details of the half training training:

When: Saturdays from March 2nd to May 4th at 7:00 AM.
Where: All runs will start at 55th and Brookside Blvd.
Tuesday Intervals are optional and are located at Shawnee Mission East High School Track at Mission and 75th Streets with Coach John Carstens.
Weekly training plan. Mileage will increase slowly.

Be a Kansas City Track Club Member ($20. individual, $25. family) go to www.kctrack.org and click on “Become a Member”.
Participate in Saturday morning group runs
Complete 2-3 shorter runs on your own each week
Agree to not use headphones, bring strollers or pets to the sessions. Sorry. Our insurance does not allow this.
