The KCTC provides finish line services for 17 events. At a minimum, these include an overhead clock, a timing device, finish chutes, manual results, and the services of four or more experienced key volunteers. Our minimum club fee for a small (100-runner) charity race is $600. For a race of moderate size, the fee is $750, plus $250 for the KCTC Race Director. Insurance for any race is an additional cost, starting at $135 for the first 500 runners. KCTC can’t provide services for new events that conflict with established MARA or KCTC events, so call us before you commit to a date. Contact the club for a quote on larger events, or for a quote on computerized results.

KCTC measures and certifies more courses than any other organization in the State. Fees are moderate, considering the time and expertise required. A 5K course is usually $120. Where the club provides finish line services, the fee for certification is normally waived.

KCTC rents finish line equipment to organizations that wish to staff their own events. The most popular rental items are overhead clocks, which rent for $100 (single-sided) or $150 (double-sided). Timing devices rent for $25 and $50. The finish line arch rents for $100. Small sound systems, megaphones, chutes, forms, race numbers and other small items are also available.
