DESCRIPTION: A point-to-point relay or solo race consisting of 10 legs of about four miles each. Teams may have from one to 10 persons. Teams are allowed one vehicle on the course, and that vehicle must display the supplied team number sign in the windshield. A second vehicle will not be allowed at the exchange stations this year.

FOOD & APPAREL: Food and beer ($13), short sleeve tees ($8), long sleeve dry release shirts ($10). If you forgot to buy shirts, food or an extra vehicle pass you can do it on-line.
DONATIONS TO CYSTIC FIBROSIS FOUNDATION: Every runner will be donating a minimum of $10 to help defeat this dreaded disease. The median life expectancy of someone with the disease is 37 years, but we are working to add more years. The total fee to enter is $25 + $10 = $35. Note: entry fee will increase to $35 March 10th.

START: Solo runners start at 6:00 a.m., Ft. Leavenworth Teams start at 9 a.m., Elite teams start at 10 a.m., out-of-town teams are encouraged to start from 8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Six Leg Special Teams start at 9:30. The start is at the Boulevard Brewery, 2501 Southwest Blvd., Kansas City, MO. The closest hotels are The Westin Crown Center, Hyatt, and Best Western (on Southwest Boulevard).
PACKET PICKUP: Garry Gribble Running Sports, Ward Parkway Shopping Ctr., State Line Rd. and 85th St., Saturday April 5, Noon until 5pm. or Garry Gribble’s Running Sports, 839 Massachusetts St, Lawrence KS. You must specify at which GGRS you want to pick up your packet on the mail-in or on-line sign up.
COURSE A & B: To relieve the traffic congestion at certain exchange points, there will be two slightly different courses (A & B) with different exchange points. You will have to check your MAP to see if you are on course A or course B. If your driver enters the wrong exchange point your team could be disqualified.

Drop 1 – Get 1: At the leg 9 exchange point – cars will head back out after dropping their leg 10 runner and picking up a spent runner from another team. NO PARKING OR WAITING. That’s right, you’ll get into a car with strangers for the short ride to Lawrence, where you’ll hook up with your crew and head off to eat, drink and celebrate. “The Six Pack”: We have a new option, the “Six Leg Special”, where teams of two to six can just run 6 legs. Of course, all solo runners and all teams are eligible to run the full 43 miles. Teams of 2 to 6 runners chosing the shorter Six Leg option, will run only legs 1,2,3,5,6,7 (drive leg 4) for a total of 27.4 miles and a faster time to the beer in Lawrence. Six Leg Teams must start at 9:30 am. You must specifiy that you are running the Six Leg Special when you register.
