Northland Runners “Take” The Five Trails 1/2!

We entered a team at the Leavenworth Five Trails Half Marathon in the Mixed Masters Division.  There were 6 runners (see below) and we all did well.  Some did especially well.
Stacey Slover won the women’s masters 1st place.
Mark Lindman won 2nd in his age group.

44 Miles in 80+ degree heat – Piece of cake!

Alan Poisner Takes Gold!

The USATF National Masters Indoor Track & Field Meet was held in Albuquerque March 4-6.  A KC Track Club member, Alan Poisner won a Gold Medal in the 3000-meter walk in the 75-79 age division on a banked track in the convention center. Fall Beginning Runners Class

The new session of the beginning runners class started last night. The class toughed out the unseasonably hot weather and came back after 3 miles looking like seasoned runners. David Cudmore 1st Overall at Ray Caffrey Race

David Cudmore, age 50, from Lee’s Summit placed first overall in Shawnee Mission Park on Saturday at the Raymond Caffrey Memorial 5K.  The weather was perfect for this first year race. Watch for this race again next year as the organizers are “pumped” about  what they will add in 2011. READ MORE »

Dan Werkovitch Impresses WNR Friends

KCTC  and Northland Runner member Donny Danner places 2nd overall out of 204 runners at the Kirk Veach Memorial 5K in Lawson, MO.
